For the purpose of conducting your marriage in Denmark, we process personal data necessary to comply with legal and official requirements. This includes, in particular, proof of identity and marital status as well as, where applicable, evidence of previous marriages or residence rights.
The specific documents required depend on your individual circumstances and will be agreed with you prior to the commencement of our services.

Communication with you takes place by telephone, in writing, or via digital communication services including social networks (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). In this context, the contact details and content provided by you are processed.

Payments are made by bank transfer or by card payment via Stripe. We only receive payment confirmations.

In order to fulfill our contractual obligations, Denmark I Do forwards personal data to the relevant Danish authorities. This includes, in particular, the submission of marriage applications and the transfer of required documents when arranging appointments with the competent town hall.
All documents are transmitted using secure communication channels.

For certain technical and organizational processes, we use service providers located in the United States, including Google, WhatsApp, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). Appropriate data protection agreements have been concluded with these providers.
6. Data Storage and Deletion
Personal data is processed and stored only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes set out in Section 2. Once the purpose of processing no longer applies, the corresponding data will be deleted.
Personal documents and contact details are generally deleted after no more than six (6) months. Data subjects may request the early deletion of their data at any time or contact us with any related inquiries.
Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected, in particular under the Danish Bookkeeping Act, pursuant to which payment and invoice data must be retained for up to six (6) years.
7. Your Rights
Data subjects are entitled to the statutory rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and objection to the processing of their personal data.
Deletion shall take place upon request, provided there is no legal basis for further processing. This does not apply in particular where processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect legitimate interests.
Where the legal requirements are met, data subjects have the right to data portability.
Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains lawful.
To exercise the above rights, it is necessary to contact us and provide the required identification details. Requests will be processed without undue delay.
Complaints may be lodged with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
